      The Civil Engineering Department has been very pro-active in industrial interaction and also in offering Consultancy services by way of the Laboratories as listed:

1. STRENGTH OF MATERIALS LABORATORY

           ·   Testing facilities are offered for building materials such as cement, concrete, sand, coarse aggregates,        steel, metals, bricks etc.to Governmental & Private agencies.

           ·   Consultancy services are offered for Construction firms, Industries, Govt: Departments and general public.

2. WATER TESTING LABORATORY 

           ·   Facilities for Quality Analysis for potable water are existing here and these services are offered for the Public Water Distribution System as well as for testing the quality of well water used by the general public.

       The Department contributes to the interdisciplinary academic and research activity of the institute.
