DEPARTMENT LIBRARY

 

The Department of Electrical & Electronics maintains a library where its primary aim is to support the student of the institution for education.  The library has a collection of more than 200 books. Besides books the Library possesses B.Tech project and seminar reports, Lab Manuals, Question papers, CD-ROMs. The departmental library serves the academic disciplines bearing their names.  

 

       The collection is strong in all aspects with special strengths in Electrical Machines, Power System Engineering, Electronic Circuits, Digital Circuits, Control Engineering, Electro magnetic Theory, Network Theory, Communication Engineering, programming, Computer Architecture and Organization, Microprocessors and Micro Controllers.

 

. The Department Library can be used by the students any time during the working hours of the department. Faculty members are entitled to get 3 books at a time, students  2 book and non-teaching staff 2 books.

Department Library Rules

  • Students should always wear their Identity cards when they enter the library.
  • All students shall be issued a maximum of 2 books at a time which will be returnable on the 11th day from the date of the issue, failure of which will fetch a fine of Rs.3/- per day for the next 11 days and thereafter the fine will be doubled.
  • A particular title once borrowed cannot be renewed for a second consecutive borrowing period unless another volume of the same title with a different access number is available in the library
  • Absence from the college for any reason will not be an excuse for not returning the book in time.
  • Any damage or loss of book detected at the time of returning will have to be compensated either through replacement of the damaged or lost book in total or if the book is not readily available in the market, by depositing the cost of the book as fixed by the faculty- in-charge.
  • If the book is already damaged at the time of issue, it should be reported to the library staff before the issue of the book.
  • Journals and periodicals are not issued to the students for outside reference.
  • An atmosphere of silence should prevail in the library.
  • The students are requested not to replace the books in the stacks. Please leave them on the tables. The library assistants will take care of the replacing.
