         We are an institutional member of ISTE with 68 life members and 8 annual members in our faculty chapter. Every academic department in our college has one faculty coordinator for ISTE. They coordinate activities of ISTE within the dept. Our chapter organizes regular Short Term Training Courses and Faculty Development programs. In 2008 we organized four STTPs , one National Conference and  national seminar in collaboration with ISTE Kerala Section.

             ISTE student chapter (KE- 51) in Viswajyothi College was started in April 2008 with 125 members. We are planning to add another 127 more members in December 2008. ISTE chapter takes the initiative to send students to participate in external technical events / paper presentations and conferences.50 % of registration fee for such events will be met from ISTE chapter fund. ISTE chapter in our college conduct quiz programs, debates and aptitude training for our students. Our chapter takes the initiative to organize industry visits. So far we have sponsored 72 students during July- Nov semester for external technical events and 22 of them got awards. 

             Our chapter takes the initiative to send faculty members in attending external short term programs/ conferences/ workshops. As a promotional scheme the chapter will meet the registration fee for the same. We take extreme care in attending all ISTE related programs in Kerala. 5 members will represent our chapter in the National Convention to be held at KIIT University, Bhuvaneswar, Orissa during Dec 2008.
