 VISWAJYOTHI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY

              Viswajyothi is lamp of god which brings light to the whole world. It aims to convey glow for whole and bring  them all to radiance from the darkness. . Viswajyothi College of Engineering     & Technology is yet another hallmark of the commitment and experience of the Kothamangalam Diocese in the field of education. With 90 schools , 3 affiliated Colleges     and 3 other technical institutions under its Management, Kothamangalam Diocese     always have been in the forefront in serving the society and the cause of education for the last     5 decades Behind     each of its famed educational institutions, are the unflagging efforts of the people of the Diocese

          A highly committed Management Team     with the noble vision of transforming Viswajyothi College of Engineering & Technology into a International Center of Excellence in Engineering Education; competent and dedicated Faculty;     scientifically planned     infrastructural facilities     with state - of - the - art Laboratories, workshops and     full fledged teaching - learning     set ups along with an excellent work culture and     campus atmosphere     has enabled VJCET to     carve a niche for itself amongst the self- financing     colleges in     Kerala     within a short span of     time.    

          Established in the year 2001 as a self- financing Engineering College         affiliated to M.G.University, Viswajyothi College of Engineering & Technology has     grown manifolds and has earned the reputation as a trend setter in Engineering Education.

          Visajyothi started its function with 135 students and 35 staffs offering three Engineering Degree courses-B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech in Electronics and Communication and B.Tech in Information Technology. In the year of 2005 B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is also added to the Visajyothi with a change of  intakes(60 students/Branch) in all branches. In 2006 B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is introduced in Viswajyothi with same number of intake. With AICTE approval, Department of Computer Science and Electronics and Communication Engineering started one more  batch with an intake of 120 students respectively. Viswajyothi is now in the path for offering Post graduate courses in various  Engineering  fields and in Mater in Business Administration. In the year of 2010 the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is Accredited by National Board of Accreditaion.

           Now Viswajyothi runs by offering Undergraduate and Post graduate degrees. Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology (VJCET) is having three Post Graduation Courses and five B.Tech Engineering Degree courses-

         The building complex of the College is     situated in a sprawling campus of 26 acres, nestled among lush greenery over a hillock on the side of the Ernakulam - Thodupuzha State highway.  The campus is divided into various functional zones Main College Building Namely Block A,Block B. Block C & Block D, Gents Hostel and Ladies Hostel. In addition to Lecture halls, Seminar Halls, Laboratories and drawing halls, the college has two Auditorium, library, Common Computing Center, reading rooms and workshops. The college has spacious playgrounds, basketball court and gymnasium. An ATM counter of Axis bank and South Indian Bank is there in front of the college gate.  Adequate Hostel facilities for both boys and girls are available in the campus.
